Winter / Spring 2022

Update on January 5, 2021:  Due to the increase in covid in Washington, D.C., we will be delaying starting classes until February.  

Foundry United Methodist Church offers English classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm.  Classes are free and open to students 17 years and older. 

You may register in-person on Tuesday, February 1 at Foundry United Methodist Church (map below) from 6:45 pm - 7:45 pm.  

Notes:  

• To ensure the safety of everyone, proof of Covid vaccination will be required for all teachers and students.  
• Masks are currently required within the church building.
• New students are always welcome during the semester, simply come to the church the night of class and tell someone you are a new student and need to register.  Please bring proof of Covid vaccination.

Our Winter / Spring  2022 schedule:

• Tuesday, February 1 - Registration 
• Tuesday, February 15 - First class
• Thursday, April 21 - Last day of classes for the semester 

Closings due to weather:  The church follows the federal government.  If the federal government closes, including early closing, then the church will be closed.  Status updates will be posted to our Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/FoundryESL/

Program Update - October 2021

The ESL program at Foundry UMC is scheduled to resume in January, 2022.  Registration is planned for Tuesday, January 11th, with classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting January 25th.  Details will follow, and we look forward to welcoming students, both past and new!
